This bizarre movie is part educational film, part surrealism, part science fiction, part animation, and part late '60s/early '70s time capsule. This much sought-after cult film has rarely been seen since 1973, and now it's available for your home viewing enjoyment. Taken from an edited-for-TV print, this is the best copy of THE NAKED APE available to the public. The uncut version may exist somewhere (perhaps in Victoria Principal's vaults), but it has eluded collectors for years. imdb.com lists the running time as 85 minutes for the uncut version; the version for sale here runs just under 84 minutes.
