Fans of the legendary post-punk band Wire must not be without this DVD! Most importantly, it's the only surviving video footage of the band playing live during their late-70s heyday. Performing an hour-long set for a slightly bemused German audience in 1979, Colin Newman and company rip through songs from their classic albums CHAIRS MISSING (1978) and 154 (1979). They close it out with an amazing rendition of the title track from their debut, PINK FLAG (1977). But the fun doesn't end there! The second half of the DVD is chock full of videos from the band members' side projects (Colin Newman's solo career, Dome, etc.), MTV interviews from around the time of their mid-80s reunion, and much more!
