The controversial (for its day) first American film from Italian cinema maestro Michelangelo Antonioni, 1970's ZABRISKIE POINT is a fun look at the American counterculture through the eyes of an outsider. Impressionistic and short on plot like Antonioni's best Italian films, ZABRISKIE has its fair share of brilliant sequences--the giant orgy in the desert, the apocalyptic explosions set to a psychedelic Pink Floyd freakout, and more. A flop upon first release, ZABRISKIE POINT is now a highly sought-after cult item. Beware of crappy AVI-quality prints of this movie floating around--it doesn't get any better than this copy.
