The story behind this ultra low-budget FANTASTIC FOUR flick is one of the strangest in cinema history. The production company with the rights to the Marvel Comics series--headed up by B-movie legend Roger Corman--was facing losing those rights in 1994 if they didn't make a movie adaptation soon. Without the funds to do it right, but not wanting to lose the right to do so in the future, they threw together this inept cheese-fest. This FOUR was not fantastic, and was never meant for release. And it shows. Featuring that distinctive early-1990s "straight-to-video" look, no-name actors, and the worst special effects ever, it truly is unlike anything you've ever seen. It's still better than the 2005 Jessica Alba abomination, though!
