LUCAN was one of the coolest TV series of the late '70s, but is unfortunately among the long list of quality shows that fell prey to audeince indifference and hasty network executives. Here in the pilot movie we are introduced to the title character, a 20-year-old who spent the first 10 years of his life being raised by wolves. The plot concerns his attempts to re-integrate himself into society with the help of several psuedo-experts. TV and low-budget-movie character actor Kevin Brophy made his screen debut as Wolfboy himself, and the always solid Stockard Channing and Ned Beatty are around too. Taken from a grade-A quality TV broadcast, you won't find a better print of this lost treasure anywhere. There is an occasional on-screen network ID throughout the movie.
