BREWSTER McCLOUD, perhaps the most "Altman-esque" film the man ever did. Bud Cort stars as a hermit-like young man who's building a flying machine by day and (maybe) committing murder at night. A totally bizarre mix of fairy tale, detective story, WIZARD OF OZ references, and lots of bird poop, BREWSTER could have only been put out by a big Hollywood studio (MGM) in the freewheeling '70s.
