It's hard to imagine now, but this inventive adaptation of several Kurt Vonnegut stories was actually produced for PBS way back in '72. Safe to say, it's like nothing you find on PBS today. Using the conceit of an astronaut who is duplicated several times in outer space, several Vonnegut classics are touched upon, including "Cat's Cradle" and "Happy Birthday, Wanda June." Maintaining the author's incredible sense of humor and surrealism, BETWEEN TIME AND TIMBUKTU is an essential artifact.
