Noted director Michael Powell (a big influence on Martin Scorsese, among others) delivered his final feature film in 1969 with the funny and touching AGE OF CONSENT. A young and smoking hot Helen Mirren (yes, that Helen Mirren) stars as a muse for aging painter James Mason. Thinking he is past his prime and ready to call it quits, Mason is persuaded to spend some time on an offshore island. Meeting Mirren and painting her in the nude is just the ticket to get his groove back, but her family is less than pleased. This quality flick served as the inspiration for Hugh Grant's 1994 SIRENS.
