A cinema verite look at the heroin underground in LA, director Floyd Mutrux used actual real-life junkies for all the leading roles. A fascinating and scary document, DUSTY AND SWEETS McGEE was a hit with critics in 1971, but Warner Bros. pulled the film after Time magazine ran an article claiming the movie glamorizes drug addiction. Video quality is very good considering the rarity of this movie.
